Are you feeling stuck or unsure of yourself like never before?

Do you feel consumed by worry and negativity?

Are you a professional struggling with stress or anxiety that’s getting in the way of your performance?

We’re here to help you manage that anxiety so you can get back to living a life you love.

You might feel like you are being stretched in a million different directions right now. You might be struggling with major FOMO or having difficulty making the "right" decision about your job, your friendships, or your romantic relationship. Perhaps stress and anxiety is getting in the way of bringing your true self to your performance and interactions.

Believe us, we've been there. It's why we are so passionate about what we do. If you've found yourself reading through this page, then perhaps there is a part of you that is ready to explore a different way of living.

And yes, it is possible.

It’s true, a normal amount of stress is, well, normal. But stress compounded by the challenges and conflict in our world right now can impact your stress and escalate things to next level anxiety that may feel impossible to manage in a healthy way.

Are you experiencing any of the following?

  • Increased overwhelm or panic attacks

  • Tightness in your chest that has become a regular occurrence

  • Shortness of breath

  • Excessive worry

  • A shift in your eating habits (eating more or eating less than normal for you; having no appetite)

  • Difficulty sleeping or Insomnia

  • Feedback in your relationships that you seem “on edge”

  • Having a short fuse or low tolerance of others

  • Feeling angry or frustrated quickly

  • Worry that is manifesting into phobias or irrational fears

  • Avoiding public or others

  • Loss of healthy habits in your life (stopped exercising, meditating, or connecting with positive relationships)

  • Difficulty with focus at work

  • Challenges with feeling enjoyment and feeling clear on your career path

If you said yes to any of the above, reach out today.

Anxiety will impact the way you’re experiencing your life, but even in the midst of chaos, anxiety doesn’t have to run your life.

The maladaptive ways we cope with untreated anxiety could become bigger issues. It’s normal to want a glass of wine after a long day, but previously harmless coping mechanisms can get out of hand when anxiety goes unmanaged (drinking in excess, compulsively shopping, seeking out relationships or sex from an anxious or insecure place, or even burying yourself in work).

You deserve a life FULLY lived. We’d love to help you get there.

What does anxiety therapy look like?

We’re so glad you asked.

By working with a skilled therapist, you will cultivate the skills, mindfulness practice, and mindset shifts to integrate a healthy lifestyle that prioritizes your mental and emotional wellness.

We’ll help you hone in on the negative thought patterns and internal narratives that may be contributing to your anxiety.

We use evidence based therapies including:

  • Mindfulness

  • Self-Compassion work

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Relational Life Therapy (RLT)

  • Trauma informed approaches to consider your experience holistically

Our therapists are skilled to help you take your anxiety from feeling out of control to feeling like something you have a healthy awareness and understanding of, and an anxiety that no longer runs your life or relationships.

Professionals Dealing with Anxiety

At MLC, we work with millennial professionals and understand that anxiety can often go hand in hand with pursuing massive success in your career.

The reality is that our world has changed drastically these last few years. With the quick shift into a completely virtual world and the pandemic forcing us to take a huge pause, you may be re-evaluating what is truly important in your work, life, and relationships.

Perhaps this is an invitation to detach from hustle culture and get into the core of what you’re truly on this earth to do.

Perhaps it’s time to slow down and go inward so that, as you grow forward in the workforce, you feel you’re functioning at your BEST and not from your last fuse.

Perhaps you’re realizing you DO want to push toward that next level in your work, but struggle with core negative beliefs about yourself or imposter syndrome that gets in the way.

Now is the best time to prioritize your mental and emotional wellness as you continue pursuing your goals.

Relationship Anxiety

Another area anxiety can show up is in your relationships- specifically, your dating and partner relationships.

It’s one thing to find yourself in a great relationship to a great partner.

It’s an entirely different ballgame to cultivate a lasting relationship where you feel your needs are being met while also honoring the otherness that is your partner- and their different worldview, set of emotions, and needs.

When you’re in misalignment with yourself or your partner, anxiety can manifest relationally. You may feel frustrated and critical of your partner, or feel helpless and that a better relationship isn’t possible for you.

You may feel stuck in the same, frustrating conflict patterns and feel at a loss for what to say or do.

Your mind may take you to places where you decide you must settle for less, lower your expectations, or hold back from asserting your needs, wants, and feelings.

The red flags for us as therapists are when you’re feeling strong contempt toward your partner (you basically see them in a very negative light), or hold a firm belief that things cannot change; you’re most likely in a conflict gridlock and could use some help.

The great news is that we can help, and that this very experience is our specialty here at MLC.
