You’re struggling with identifying your emotions.

You’re feeling overwhelmed by the stressors of life.

You want to feel closer to your partner, but aren’t sure how to communicate that.

Therapeutic Yoga with Ashley Marie can help.

MLC is proud to offer private, therapeutic yoga sessions! Yoga is a great way to strengthen the mind-body connection. This is especially helpful for individuals that struggle with identifying their emotions or feel overwhelmed by the stress of life.

What’s different about yoga at MLC?

Ashley Marie is both a registered therapeutic yoga facilitator as well as a licensed marriage and family therapist associate. In working with her, you will be with a guide who has exceptional training in the art of integrating yoga and attunement to your personal goals, relationship dynamics, and challenges. Ashley Marie brings an ability to hone in on your unique mind-body connection and to integrate yoga work into your mental, emotional, and relational wellness practice.

Providing you with collaborative care

Before your first yoga session, we'll ask you to sign a Release of Information (ROI) so your therapist can share a general overview of what you've been working on in individual or couples therapy. After signing the release, each private yoga session is customized specifically for your needs.

What if I’m not in therapy right now?

If you're not working with a clinician here at MLC or aren’t currently in therapy, you are still welcome! Therapeutic yoga is an incredible, stand-alone experience for you to develop attunement to your own internal experience. Some clients find through beginning the practice of yoga the desire to later integrate talk therapy. You will find what works best for you!

What kind of yoga will I experience in my session?

These 50 minute sessions include breathwork, asana (the physical yoga movements/postures) and meditation. Ashley Marie takes devoted time between your sessions to integrate movements and postures that will be relevant to your identified goals and wishes.

Yoga has been shown to reduce anxiety, help you sleep better, manage stress, and improve strength, balance, and flexibility.

“If you’ve ever experienced anxiety or insecurities, yoga in a therapeutic space can help you learn to accept and trust yourself again. Yoga brings you into the present moment, it connects your mind, body, and spirit, and allows you to learn how to move through difficult emotions.” - Ashley Marie Eckstein, LMFT Associate & 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher.

Yoga therapy sessions are offered on Mondays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
