For Group Practice Owners

The CEO Strategy Session

Three hours away from the day-to-day to think like the CEO your practice needs.

Sound familiar?

You're a practice owner who's…

Built something real, and now you're buried in it

Making six-figure decisions between client sessions and payroll runs, and a busy personal life

Tired of growth advice that assumes “bigger” is always the goal

Craving space to think strategically instead of just putting out fires

Quietly asking yourself, "what's actually enough for me right now? Where is this going?"

As featured in:

What we’ll cover in the 3 hours together:

You as CEO + vision and numbers

Practices to implement as CEO that will keep you in the visionary seat, able to steer your mission and team forward.

An honest look at your own growth hurdles and how to navigate in the midst of growth.

Tools to map your responsibilities vs. what needs to be handed off/when.

Clarifying your vision and core values (critical!).

Building a financially sustainable model, on your terms.

People and Culture

Hiring (and firing) through the "right person, right seat" process.

Defining your team culture and leadership as your practice grows.

Preparing for the difficult staffing, development, and performance improvement conversations- including tools, methods, and rapid fire Q&A.

Systems + Growth

Practice systems that free up your time and are easy to train up your team to execute.

Growth decisions made intentionally instead of reactively- the name of the game is clarity on YOUR vision and developing systems to implement that consistently over time.

What you’ll walk away with: a plan you’ll actually use.

Who this is for:

This is for you if

You own a boutique (10 or less) or growing group practice

You care about clinical excellence as much as the P&L

You want an intentional, profitable practice that aligns with your life, not necessarily a 20+ clinician one (although if that’s your goal, I’m here for it)

You're ready to make real decisions, not just collect more ideas

You plan to participate in the leadership and growth of your practice!

This isn't for you if

You want a franchise-style scale playbook

You're looking for done-for-you systems instead of your own strategic thinking

You're hoping one session fixes everything, instead of committing to your own ongoing growth and systems development

Welcome! I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor and the founder of Millennial Life Counseling, a group practice in Dallas that began in 2016. We’ve been through it all: surviving the pandemic’s impact on our group, developing culture and making hard calls on building the right team, multiple practice structures (w2, contractor/1099 model, collaborative) and more.

I built the practice while raising two young kids (babies at the time, now another on the way) and prioritizing a healthy marriage and family life, which taught me quickly that a business built without intention will eventually run its owner into the ground.

In a world and industry that promotes hustle culture, doing it all, and scaling for the sake of scaling, my leading operating question has become “What’s enough for me right now?”

My hope is to help you define your own vision and learn to ask the right questions for your unique path, so that you can translate that into a realistic and doable strategy as you grow forward. I believe there is a healthy way to do this, and want to hand all of the incredible experiences and education I’ve gained through my own work and mentorship to you. So let’s get going!

About Liz

I don't believe in figuring this out alone. Part of my mission is staying a learner and working with people who are 10 steps ahead of me, so I can bring that back to my own practice, and to yours. Here are some of my past coaches and mentors that I have thoroughly enjoyed learning from:

Coaches and mentors I've invested in

Lindsay Keisman

Business and leadership coach and multi-location group practice owner, focused on hiring, leadership development, and building a practice that doesn't own you. Lindsay’s programming also helped me dive into financial mental blocks and create goals that weren’t driven by emotions.

I have worked with Lindsay in small-group, work + fun based experiences and also in a 1:1 capacity, where her direct and honest approach has helped ground me in wearing the business owner hat and less of a therapist hat as an owner.

Leading Your Practice

Dr. Carrie Singer

Orchard Mental Health Group

(No in person pics, as we worked together in a virtual only capacity). I engaged Carrie’s coaching expertise in the early post-pandemic years while the business was going really well but I was hitting burnout. She is a Psychologist who grew her practice from a solo provider to 165+ clinicians across 10 locations, now mentoring owners on growth, technology, and long-term practice strategy.

Uriah Guilford

Group practice owner and productivity coach for therapists, author of "The Productive Practice," focused on systems and delegation that free up owners' time.

In my 1:1 coaching time with Uriah, I was able to explore strategic support and tools while also receiving feedback on some of the underlying things driving my decisions and experience of practice ownership (something I love exploring with other founders and owners). He’s also just a really fun guy who loves what he does.

Productive Therapist

Kyle and Maggie Gordon

Two years of forum-style peer mentorship through the Entrepreneurs' Organization Accelerator, with the co-founders of Dillas Quesadillas as forum mentors, alongside owners from a wide range of industries.

I have learned so much from this visionary + integrator duo that I will forever be grateful for. This was a powerful experience refining my vision, mission, and values for the practice, as well as freedom to dream about the ideal business and lifestyle for myself. This was also when I began to take on and integrate many EOS inspired systems for our team, which positively impacted performance, clarity and culture.

EO Accelerator Coaches, Dillas Quesadillas

Owner of a multi-location Chicago group practice and author of "The Accountability Equation," coaching owners on systems and leadership that let a practice run without them. I gained a ton from her group practice small group coaching experience and her GPE conference in Chicago.

I’d also recommend her book which feels like a blend of EOS principles paired with industry based tools.

The Group Practice Exchange

Maureen Werrbach

Mike Rose

Leadership coach and speaker, creator of the Return on Energy framework for communication and getting the right people in the right seats (without burning out). His book will give you the overview of his framework which is designed to put your people first and keeping you in the seat you should be in. I learned SO much from Mike in our year of 1:1 work, and he has been one of the most intentional and responsive coaches I’ve worked with.
